Wondering how to configure FXS analog port in just few minutes? Here’s How.

If you want to configure your FXS analog extensions without any special configurations, here how I do it. It will simply ring each port’s extension.

Scenario:

I have AudioCodes Mediant 1000 with 4 FXS analog ports attached to it. I simply want to ring each port. I use 5001, 5002, 5003, 5004 extension respectively. Configuration of digital interface is not part of this post.

Configure the Tel to IP routing.

This route is basically the call from analog ports to M1K IP address.

  • Source number: Any
  • Destination number: 5xxx# (4 digits start with 5)
  • Destination IP address: 172.16.0.41 (AC M1K IP address)
  • Destination Port: 5060 (This was my Destination Port configured in SIP General Parameters)

Configure the IP to Trunk Group Routing.

This route is from AC M1K IP address to analog ports.

  • Source number: Any
  • Destination Prefix: 5xxx#
  • Destination Trunk Group: 2

No need to configure anything at manipulation table.

Verification:

Call from 5001 to 5002 was indeed working and was able to answer.
